At Centralia Beauty College, high school students can get a head start with our New Market Skills Program. Starting the summer before their junior year, students can begin their beauty education, with the school district covering the cost. They’ll earn 1 CTE credit and gain valuable skills in the beauty industry. This program offers a great opportunity for young aspiring beauty professionals to advance their careers while still in high school.

Additionally, we focus on industry preparedness, equipping our students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the beauty industry.
Starting your cosmetology education in high school offers many benefits. By starting early, students can gain a head start on the essential skills needed in the beauty industry and earn valuable college credits. This early foundation can give them a competitive edge for a successful career in cosmetology. Beyond technical skills, early exposure fosters personal growth, igniting passion and confidence. It’s not just about learning a trade; it’s about starting a journey that blends creativity and professionalism, turning a passion into a rewarding career.
At Centralia Beauty College, our cosmetology sessions are held Tuesday through Friday from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with mandatory attendance on Saturdays. During the summer, our hours shift to Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, providing an intensive and immersive learning experience for our students.
Please Note: This is a 15 to 18-month commitment. Students must have their own transportation as this is an off-site program. It is strongly recommended that students are at least 16 years of age and a Junior or Senior in high school. Students must meet a minimum of 28 hours per week to attend.
Students earn 3.0 credits per year allocated as 1.0 Lab Science, 1.0 Career Technical Education, 1.0 Elective. See how these credits satisfy graduation requirements in the Program of Study.
Credits available through Clover Park Technical College: up to 19 credits
*Students who successfully complete the program and meet the college grading requirements will be eligible to apply.
This program provides 1,600 hours necessary to take the Washington State Board Exam for certification (a $250 fee).
